Competition rules updated: new D-league, revised C-league and women's B-league
The EPL rules committee reviewed the league competition rules. The main changes concern the men's C- and D-leagues and the women's B-league.
- Men's C-league: when a stage is oversubscribed, pairs get in by ranking points, as in the A- and B-leagues. The top 70 men in the ranking do not take part.
- Men's D-league replaces the previous C-league. The top 120 men do not take part and there are 7 stages a year.
- Women's B-league: the top 30 women in the ranking cannot enter. From the semi-finals on, matches are played as best of three sets.
The rules also clarify that all players tied at the entry cut-off may register.
